MA in Danish
language and literature, and BA in German language and
literature in 1987 (University of Copenhagen). PH.D. in
linguistics and computational Linguistics in 1997 (Odense
University (Now: University of Southern Denmark)).
From 1987 -1992
researcher at EUROTRA-DK, the Danish branch of the EU’s research
and development project in machine translation. Project
coordinator for the development of the Danish analysis and
synthesis grammars and German to Danish translation modules.
Member of the pragmatics group established as a central team
acting as consultants for researchers and implementers in the
other 8 EU countries.
PH.D. scholarship
at Odense University 1992 - 1995.
Dictionary
consultant for GAD’s publishing company. Consultant for CRI A/S

(Visual Interactive Analysis, 1994-1996 and 2003-2004): a
language and theory independent interactive grammar training
program for language students. The programme is currently being
used at CBS and a number of schools in Denmark and has received
additional funding for further extension. Funding: CTU (Center

Proposal to enhance attractiveness
selected under Action 4 - Selection 2004 of the Erasmus Mundus
programme. The project focuses on making European higher
education in Computational Linguistics and Language Technology
attractive to students and scholars from third countries.
“LATER” provides for the organisation of workshops and
conferences, as well as the development of distance learning
tools, and distance education.
